The homeowner purchased the existing residence in 2016 with a clear vision: to create a home with enduring character, timeless appeal, and elevated design. In response, a comprehensive transformation was undertaken — expanding the structure to the side and rear, and reimagining both the exterior and interior to reflect a refined architectural identity.
About the project
A new mansard roof lends the home a stately, sophisticated presence, aligning with the evolving architectural character of the street, where several newly built homes share a similar vernacular. The updated exterior is clad in a carefully selected palette of high-quality, durable materials that enhance both curb appeal and longevity.
Inside, the original layout was fully reconfigured. The interior was completely gutted and rebuilt to support a modern open-concept floor plan, with spaces that flow seamlessly and are filled with natural light. Elegant finishes, custom millwork, and thoughtful detailing echo the traditional cues of the exterior while offering a fresh, contemporary take on classic design.
The result is a home that feels both rooted in context and forward-looking — a lasting addition to the neighbourhood and a true reflection of the owner’s vision.
