In 2016, the owner purchased a dilapidated bungalow in Etobicoke with the goal of replacing it with a custom-designed, two-storey transitional-style residence. Bloom Architects was commissioned to bring this vision to life — blending classic architectural forms with a modern material palette.
About the project
The new 3,000 square foot home features traditional pitched rooflines paired with contemporary finishes, including natural stone, wood accents, and sleek metal detailing. The design emphasizes volume and light, with soaring open-to-above spaces throughout the primary living areas, creating a sense of grandeur and openness.
Construction began in 2019 and was successfully completed in 2022, resulting in a timeless yet contemporary home that enhances the character of the surrounding neighbourhood and reflects the owner’s refined vision.
