A contractor based in Mississauga, Ontario approached Bloom Architects with the goal of transforming their dated office building into a striking and contemporary workspace that better reflected their evolving brand and professional identity. The existing structure, while functional, lacked visual appeal and connection to its surrounding environment.
About the project
Bloom Architects responded with a bold redesign that incorporates a playful yet cohesive mix of modern materials, including black standing seam metal cladding, light-toned wood accents, and expansive glass openings. This combination brings contrast, warmth, and transparency to the building’s facade, resulting in a sleek and welcoming street presence.
To further enhance the site and introduce a layer of softness, integrated planters were added to the design — introducing much-needed vegetation to an otherwise hardscaped lot. These planted elements not only contribute to the building’s curb appeal, but also support urban greening and help connect the structure to its context.
The result is a refreshed and visually dynamic office environment that communicates professionalism, creativity, and a forward-thinking ethos — a true reflection of the contractor’s values and ambitions.
